“Music is an integral part of my life,” says Chili Thom. “For me, it creates a mood. That mix of different sounds and instruments flowing together is similar to mixing colours and putting them onto the canvas. Plus, if I’m feeling down, I just put on a good record and by the second or third track I’m usually right back up.”

After ten years of tearing up the Whistler club/underground scene as DJ Mr FIster, Chili recently re-emerged with a new music moniker – Dr. Awesome.

“Everything changes,” Chili says, “ and I decided it was time for the good doctor to come out and give the world an injection of Fun-key beats and good times.”

Dr. Awesome, is the founding member of the ‘Party Medics” crew and will often arrive on the scene driving a pimped out ambulance before performing some musical surgery. The best thing about this doctor is how easy it is to get an appointment – Chili has brought his selection of funky, eclectic breaks and beats to gigs and festivals across North America and Australia and got a chance to play on the world stage Headlining during the 2010 Olympic games and the Paralympic Games.
